### **Every day at HUG, we strive to harness Web3’s potential to make the world a better place.**

In September 2022, HUG Studios had the honor & privilege of collaborating with USAID Europe at **Innovate Moldova**, the country’s first-ever Web3 Hackathon. Working alongside partner communities, we provided education and resources on Web3’s potential to aid Ukrainian refugees.&#x20;

Our Director of Creative Programming, [Michael Littig](https://twitter.com/michael_littig), joined the event in person as a host and facilitator. [Debbie Soon](https://twitter.com/debsoon) hosted a workshop on community building, while our Head of Product Engineering, [Ken Richard](https://twitter.com/kenr000), shared his insights on smart contracts.

The winner of the Innovate Moldova Hackathon was [TalkEarn](https://linktr.ee/talkearnapp). They have been rewarded a scholarship to join our [hedgeHUG](https://thehugxyz.gitbook.io/hug/hug-studios/creator-accelerator-programs/hedgehug) accelerator, our advisory program for innovative Web3 businesses preparing for launch.
